Your First Visit
1. New Patient Forms
First, when you arrive to our chiropractic office in Harvest, we’ll ask you to fill out our new patient intake forms. This paperwork provides us basic information about you, as well as your medical history and a description of your condition.
Next, you’ll have a consult with Dr. Travis Simmons to chat about your health-related problems and concerns, as well as potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Travis Simmons to understand exactly where you are at with your health and provide a roadmap to get you feeling your absolute best.
3. Chiropractic Exam
After your initial discussion, Dr. Travis Simmons will perform a complete chiropractic exam. This is to get hands-on and see exactly what is going on with your body currently. Nothing will be done without full explanation and your consent.
4. Report of Findings
After the exam is completed and analyzed, Dr. Travis Simmons will give you a “report of all findings” that details everything discovered during the exam. After reviewing your health history, goals, and examining your spine and X-rays, Dr. Travis Simmons will discuss recommendations for your treatment in order to help get you to optimal health.
5. Chiropractic Treatment
At the end of your first appointment, you can choose to experience your first chiropractic adjustment. This may include spinal adjustments, intersegmental traction, and/or spinal decompression. Treatment is interactive, so you can express concerns about the different styles of treatment anytime.
6. Custom Wellness Plan
After your first treatment, our team will determine if ongoing wellness and care will make sense for your health. These plans are designed to help maintain optimal health for your spine and your body. Keeping on top of your spine’s misalignments helps prevent future issues from arising and keeps you feeling great.

Your new patient special ($29) covers your consultation, a comprehensive exam, X-rays (if needed), your report of findings, and care recommendations. We review everything with you before any treatment begins.
What should I bring to my first visit?+
Bring your ID and insurance card (if you're using insurance), and wear comfortable clothing you can move in. Arrive a few minutes early to complete your intake paperwork — or fill it out ahead of time if we send it over.
How long is the first appointment?+
Plan for about 45–60 minutes so we have time for a complete consultation, exam, and — when appropriate — your first treatment the same day.
Does a chiropractic adjustment hurt?+
For most people, no. Adjustments are gentle and many patients feel relief right away. You may hear a soft "pop" as pressure releases from a joint — that's normal and not painful. We tailor every technique to your comfort and explain what we're doing first.
Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?+
No. You can book with us directly — no referral from your physician is needed. If your specific insurance plan requires one, we'll help you sort it out.
Is chiropractic care safe?+
Yes. Chiropractic is a widely recognized, conservative, drug-free approach for many musculoskeletal conditions. After your exam we'll flag anything outside our scope and refer you to the right provider when that's the better path.
Do you take insurance?+
We accept many major plans and also offer affordable self-pay options. Send us your insurance details and we'll verify your benefits before your visit — no surprises.
Can I use my HSA or FSA?+
Yes — chiropractic care is typically an eligible HSA/FSA expense. We accept HSA/FSA cards along with all major credit cards and cash.
How many visits will I need?+
It depends on your condition, how long it's been going on, and your goals. After your exam we recommend a specific, time-bound care plan and explain the reasoning — there's no open-ended commitment.
Can children and pregnant patients be seen?+
Yes. We offer gentle care for kids and expecting moms, with techniques always adapted to be safe and comfortable for every stage.
