Trusted chiropractic care for Ardmore
About 19 minutes (13 miles) from our Harvest office
In Ardmore, Main Street doubles as the Alabama-Tennessee line, and HealthSource of Harvest cares for people on both sides of it. That includes the homes around Park Avenue and Ardmore Town Park, the Ardmore Avenue corridor past Ardmore High, nearby communities like Cedar Hill, Pine Dale and Bethel, and neighbors just across the street in Ardmore, Tennessee. Dr. Travis Simmons is about 19 minutes away in Harvest, offering natural, non-surgical chiropractic care that fits around the weekday drive down AL-53 and weekend traditions like the Greater Ardmore Chamber’s late-summer Crape Myrtle Festival and the joint Christmas Parade in December.
Ardmore life mixes a long commute with hands-on work and plenty of time outdoors. Sitting through the AL-53 drive and a full day at a desk can lead to back pain and neck pain, and a collision in commuter traffic or near the I-65 interchange can leave you with whiplash. Manufacturing and retail jobs bring repeated lifting, bending and long shifts standing that can end in a work injury. Ardmore High Tigers football, soccer and wrestling can lead to sprains and strains, and regular laps on the Town Park walking tracks or rides on the nearby Richard Martin Trail can add up to knee pain.
Ardmore patients begin with the $29 New Patient Special, which covers a consultation, a comprehensive exam, X-rays if needed, a report of findings and care recommendations. Dr. Simmons may then suggest chiropractic care, auto accident care after a collision near the interchange or on AL-53, or athlete care for Tigers athletes and weekend players. The 13-mile, roughly 19-minute drive is mostly one road: take 6th St east onto Shannon Rd, cut over on Gatlin Rd and Cedar Hill Rd, then follow AL-53 south for about 10.5 miles and turn left onto Jeff Rd NW to reach 5850 Highway 53, Suite N. While ALDOT widens AL-53 between Taurus Dr and Harvest Rd (expected to finish in late 2027), allow a little extra time near the turn.
Proudly serving: Downtown Main Street (the state-line district), Park Avenue, Ardmore Avenue corridor, Cedar Hill, Pine Dale, Bethel (just south of town).
Local, trusted care
Why Ardmore residents consider HealthSource of Harvest
Ardmore is a small town in northern Limestone County that sits right on the Tennessee line. Main Street is the state boundary, and its sister city, Ardmore, Tennessee, is just across it. The two towns share the Greater Ardmore Chamber and a joint Christmas Parade. Ardmore grew up around a Louisville & Nashville Railroad line built through the area in 1912, and today I-65 passes just west of town at Exit 365 while AL-53 runs southeast toward Harvest and Huntsville. Past Harvest, the highway continues into Huntsville, home to Redstone Arsenal and Cummings Research Park. HealthSource of Harvest sits on AL-53 itself, about 13 miles down the road.
For Ardmore commuters, getting here can mean staying on a road they already drive: AL-53, the route toward Redstone Arsenal and Cummings Research Park, runs right past our office. The clinic owner, Dr. Travis Simmons, DC, earned his Doctor of Chiropractic at Cleveland University - Kansas City and provides natural, non-surgical care. His post-graduate training in motor-vehicle-accident care covers crash dynamics, trauma assessment and injury documentation, and he has also trained extensively in dysfunctional movement patterns, nerve dysfunction and neuropathy, and circulation improvement. He enjoys caring for active people of every age too, from Ardmore High student athletes to weekend walkers at Town Park.

Back Pain
A commute down AL-53 to Redstone Arsenal or Cummings Research Park keeps you seated twice a day, and the lower back is often the first to complain.

If your workday is spent at a desk on Redstone Arsenal or in Cummings Research Park, the drive back up AL-53 can add to a stiff, sore neck.
Learn more →Whiplash
Merging near the I-65 interchange at Exit 365, or slowing for flaggers in the AL-53 work zone near Harvest, are the kinds of moments when rear-end collisions and whiplash happen.
Learn more →Work Injury
Manufacturing and retail are among the top lines of work for Ardmore residents, and repeated lifting, bending and long hours on your feet can lead to injury.
Learn more →Sprains & Strains
Tigers football, soccer, basketball, wrestling and track at Ardmore High ask a lot of young ankles, knees and hamstrings.
Learn more →Knee Pain
Regular laps on the Ardmore Town Park walking tracks or rides on the nearby 10.2-mile Richard Martin Trail can leave your knees sore.
